Alyssa Mackintosh
Alyssa (said as Aleesa) who lives in Whakatāne with her partner and full of life one-year-old son Auraki. Alyssa did rock n roll dancing when she was 10 and loved it so can’t wait to dance again!
I work for Waiotahi Contractors Limited and we work closely with Life Education Trust so when I was approached to dance, I thought well why not! It’s an amazing charity to be raising funds for because kids these days are faced with so many obstacles and as a young mother I strongly believe in the work of Life Education!
Matt Pirini
Matt is a Whakatāne local working for DB Plumbing.
At first I wasn’t sure about being a dancer for Dancing for Life Ed but after talking to Kelly I was super keen to give it a go!
I’ve not been on stage since my senior production at Trident High School so this will be pushing me out of my comfort zone. But I’m really happy to be involved with an event supporting Life Education Trust.
Alyssa & Matt will be dancing the traditional tango - the most dramatic and sensual of the ballroom dances. With a slightly different hold, it’s famous for its staccato beats and contrast of fast and slow rhythms. Be ready to be wowed!
