Bronwen Foxx

I am a mum with a 16 year old son Marshal. Sadly we lost my husband two years ago.

I love my job as CEO of the Disabilities Resource Centre and I’ve been working there for over 24 years. I’m passionate about supporting anything that helps the Eastern Bay of Plenty community and in particular supporting our kids to be the best they can be.

In my down time I love performing and I’m heavily involved with Theatre Whakatane Inc as the Secretary. I’m also President of the Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce

Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson shouldn't need a big introduction. As the new GM of Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce he's well known in the business community but equally well known in the Theatre Whakatane Inc community.

It’s great to be involved in such a wonderful fundraising opportunity for Life Education. I love our community and am grateful for all that we have, and want to give back to our community in some way. I feel that this is a great way to do that while having a bit of fun.

I have been visiting family in Whakatane for most of my life and four years ago, my wife and I made the decision to move here. We have enjoyed every moment and have made some fantastic friendships.

When I’m not in my day job as General Manager, Chamber of Commerce, I can be found at Theatre Whakatane. I have been involved in theatre for over 30 years in Wellington and have been involved in nearly every aspect of theatre both on and off stage. I directed last year's end of year production, Mystery on the Orient Express as well as appearing in every show since Mamma Mia. My main passion is acting - not singing and dancing - so this event will stretch my comfort zone.

Bronwen & Andrew will be performing the fastest of the Latin dances - The Jive. The Jive incorporates lots of kicks and flicks and is danced at 176 beats per minute. Expect lots of spins and changes of places with this couple!
