I'm super excited about the opportunity to be one of the dancers. I have grown up with Harold the Giraffe and Life Education Trust EBOP at school and believe it's important for our tamariki to have access to these services. I am delighted to help give back to a community that has done so much for me.

At home, I often have music on while doing housework and get distracted dancing around my living room so I can't wait to put this energy into something that will resemble actual dancing!

When I was approached to be a dancer in Dancing for Life Education I thought, this is such an amazing opportunity to be a part of. Friends and colleagues of mine have danced in previous events and said it’s a must-do opportunity.

Growing up Whakatāne and watching the community grow and change over my life has been incredible. And being a part of this event for the Life Education Trust is a perfect opportunity to give back to the community.

I have to admit I'm extremely out of my comfort zone, but I like a challenge and I'm always looking to learn new skills.

Mikayla & Brad will be dancing the slow foxtrot - the dance style often termed the king of ballroom dances, the Foxtrot has a magical quality. Known for its long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor, it’s a heady mix of subtle timing, musical accents and gorgeous body lines. Make sure you have your tickets to witness this dynamic couple master what is traditionally considered one of the more tricky ballroom dances
